A Jazz Aviation de Havilland Dash 8-300, registration C-FACV performing flight QK-8426 from Kamloops,BC to Calgary,AB (Canada) with 24 passengers and 3 crew, was descending towards Calgary between 17,000 and 7,000 feet when the aircraft encountered turbulence, the autopilot disconnected, the crew lost control momentarily and the flight attendant received minor injuries. The aircraft continued for a landing in Calgary without further incident about 13 minutes later.

The Canadian TSB reported the aircraft flew through an area of moderate turbulence while descending between 17,000 and 7,000 feet. At about 15,000 feet the turbulence was worst, the autopilot disconnected, the flight crew momentarily lost control. All passengers were wearing their seat belts, no passengers were injured. The flgiht attendant received minor injuries but was able to continue duties. The aircraft sustained no damage.
