An Orenair Boeing 737-800, registration VQ-BNK performing flight R2-5816 from Moscow Vnukovo to Orenburg (Russia) with 23 passengers and 9 crew, was enroute at FL330 about 130nm west of Samara (Russia) when the crew initiated an emergency descent (average rate of descent 4000 fpm) due to the loss of cabin pressure. The aircraft continued to Orenburg at 9000 feet MSL for a landing without further incident.

Ural's Investigative Department of Transport reported the crew received indication of a malfunction of the air conditioning system.
