A Cargojet Boeing 767-300, registration C-GVIJ performing flight W8-1893 (dep Dec 27th) from Halifax,NS (Canada) to Cologne (Germany) with 4 crew, was on final approach to Cologne's runway 32R when the crew received a trailing edge flap disagree indication after selecting flaps 20. The aircraft went around, the crew declared emergency, worked the TE flaps disagree checklist, selected flaps 20 using the alternate flap extension and performed a safe landing on runway 32R about 16 minutes after the go-around.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance found the #7 transmission torque limiter tripped. The transmission was replaced and the system tested. Following a successful test flight the aircraft was released to service, however, suffered another similiar problem on the next flight (no further information available as of yet).

A similiar occurrence had already happened 13 days earlier, see Incident: Cargojet B763 at Vancouver on Dec 15th 2016, flaps problem.
