An Aer Arann Avion de Transport Regional ATR-42-300 on behalf of Aer Lingus, registration EI-CBK performing flight RE-3305/EI-3305 from Southend,EN (UK) to Dublin (Ireland), could not fully retract the landing gear after departure from Southend. The crew requested a low approach to have the landing gear inspected from the ground but changed their plan when they got all greens upon extending the gear. The aircraft landed safely back in Southend.

A replacement ATR-42-300 registration EI-EHH reached Dublin with a delay of 4:40 hours.

An observer on the ground reported the crew intended a fly by to have the gear inspected but aborted that plan when they were able to fully extend the gear again. The aircraft landed back safely and was later towed to a maintenance hangar.
