A Croatia Airlines de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration 9A-CQD performing flight OU-4456 from Zagreb (Croatia) to Brussels (Belgium), was enroute at FL240 about 40nm north of Munich (Germany) when the crew reported problems with the left hand hydraulics system and decided to divert to Munich. The crew performed a low aproach to have the gear checked from the ground, burned off fuel and landed safely about 65 minutes after leaving FL240. The aircraft vacated the runway, stopped and shut down on the adjacent taxiway and was towed to the apron.

The remainder of the flight as well as the return flight were cancelled.
