A Croatia Airlines de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration 9A-CQF performing flight OU-4456 from Zagreb (Croatia) to Brussels (Belgium) with 31 people on board, was enroute at FL240 about 25nm south of Linz (Austria) when the crew received an APU Fire indication and decided to divert to Munich (Germany), about 110nm from their present position. On approach to Munich the crew advised that the fire indication had ceased. The aircraft landed safely on Munich'S runway 26L, vacated the runway and stopped for an inspection by emergency services, who did not find any evidence of fire, heat or smoke. The aircraft taxied to the apron.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Munich about 5 hours after landing.
