A Croatia Airlines de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration 9A-CQA performing flight OU-342 from Zagreb (Croatia) to Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), departed Zagreb's runway 04, climbed to FL210 and landed on Sarajevo's runway 11 about 30 minutes later.

In a post flight inspection the crew discovered a 2x2cm hole in the fuselage and believed, the aircraft may have been shot at during the approach to Sarajevo.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Sarajevo about 17 hours after landings.

Bosnia and Herzegovina's States Prosecutor said, that no traces of gunpowder or any other particles which would indication a gun shot and concludes the hole was not created by a firearm.

The airline stated that after landing damage was discovered, the safety of passengers was not endangered however.
