An Air Canada Boeing 767-300, registration C-GHOZ performing flight AC-825 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 208 passengers and 8 crew, was enroute at FL350 about 150nm westnorthwest of Belfast,NI (UK) when the crew decided to divert to Belfast reporting an unusual odour in the cabin. The aircraft landed safely on Belfast Aldergrove Airport's runway 25 about 35 minutes later.

The aircraft was able to continue the flight after about 3.5 hours on the ground and is estimated to reach Toronto with a delay of 4 hours.

The airline reported an usual odour was detected in one of the galleys.

On Aug 31st 2015 the Canadian TSB reported smoke and fumes were observed in the forward galley area. Power was removed from the forward galley, the crew declared Mayday and diverted to the nearest airport Belfast. The source of the smoke is believed to be a coffee maker in the forward galley, the investigation by the operator is still ongoing.
