A Swiss Avro RJ-100, registration HB-IXO performing flight LX-464 from Zurich (Switzerland) to London City,EN (UK), was climbing out of Zurich when the crew requested to level off at FL090 due to a technical problem. The crew subsequently advised they had a flaps fault indication and were consulting with maintenance, subsequently decided to return to Zurich, where the aircraft landed safely on runway 34 at high speed (about 190 knots over ground) about 110 minutes after departure. The crew advised brakes temperatures were okay, vacated the runway via taxiway E3 abotu 2500 meters down the runway and was taxiing towards the apron on taxiway E, when the crew requested emergency services to check the brakes reporting they had a brakes overtemperature indication. Ground control requested the crew to hold position while emergency services responded. The aircraft was shut down and towed to the apron.
