A Swiss European Airlines British Aerospace RJ-100, registration HB-IXO performing flight LX-758 from Zurich (Switzerland) to Luxembourg (Luxembourg), was climbing out of Zurich's runway 32 when the crew requested to remain close to the airfield and level off at FL080. The aircraft entered a hold over Trasadingen, after working the checklists the crew requested to return to Zurich reporting they were on three engines with the #2 engine (LF507) shut down, normal operations and normal landing was expected. The aircraft positioned for an ILS approach to runway 28 and landed safely on runway 28 about 30 minutes after departure.
