Swiss RJ1H at Zurich on Aug 30th 2015, problem with flight guidance system

A Swiss Global Airlines Avro RJ-100, registration HB-IXO performing flight LX-1860 from Zurich (Switzerland) to Sofia (Bulgaria), was climbing through 4000 feet out of Zurich's runway 32 when the crew requested radar vectors for now but continued the climb. The crew subsequently levelled off at FL100 and decided to return to Zurich reporting problems with their flight guidance system which was in basic mode only. The aircraft landed safely back on Zurich's runway 34 about 30 minutes after departure.

A replacement RJ-100 registration HB-IYT reached Sofia with a delay of 1:45 hours.

The occurrence aircraft resumed service as flight LX-2806 to Geneva (Switzerland) about 6 hours after landing, however stopped the climb again at FL120 reporting computer problems and returned to Zurich for a safe landing. The aircraft is still on the ground in Zurich 10 hours after second return.

The occurrence aircraft resumed service the following morning.

The airline confirmed technical problems with the autopilot, the defect was fixed, however re-occurred during the flight to Geneva. The aircraft was repaired again, underwent tests over night and returned to service the following morning.
