A Malaysian Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration 9M-MXH performing flight MH-193 from Bangalore (India) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) with 151 passengers, was enroute about 350nm eastsoutheast of Bangalore when the crew decided to return to Bangalore due to the failure of the weather radar. The aircraft landed safely back about 2 hours after departure. The passengers were taken to hotels. The aircraft was able to depart again after about 16.5 hours on the ground and is estimated to reach Kuala Lumpur with a delay of 19 hours.
