A Westjet Encore de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration C-FHEN performing flight WEN-3259 from Edmonton,AB to Calgary,AB (Canada) with 80 people on board, had landed on Calgary's runway 17R and vacated the runway via taxiway C2. The aircraft was cleared to taxi to the apron via taxiway C, hold short of runway 11.

A United Boeing 737-800, registration N37273 performing flight UA-1719 from Houston,TX (USA) to Calgary,AB (Canada), landed on Calgary's runway 11.

The Canadian TSB reported that the ground controller observed the Dash approaching runway 11 and issued a STOP instruction. The Dash 8 stopped and came to a stand still 20 feet past the hold short line just in the moment when UA-1719 touched down on runway 11.
