A Jazz de Havilland Dash 8-300, registration C-FMDW performing flight QK-8175 from Edmonton,AB to Calgary,AB (Canada) with 25 people on board, was enroute when the crew noticed decreasing hydraulic #1 quantity indications. While on approach to Calgary the "#1 HYD FLD ISO VLV" indication activated, the crew worked the related checklists and requested emergency services on stand by for the arrival. The aircraft landed safely, the crew used differential and reverse thrust to slow the aircraft and vacate the runway, then used emergency braking to stop the aircraft to have emergency services check the aircraft. The aircraft was shut down and towed to the apron after gear safety pins were applied.

The Canadian TSB reported the #1 flexible brake line failed due to incorrect installation. The brake assembly did not engage the anti-rotate pins, which resulted in the rotation of the brakes assembly, which caused damage to the landing gear shock strut, the brakes assembly and wheel assembly. All components were replaced.
