The aircraft subsequently went over the English Channel, dumped fuel at FL060 and FL050 and returned to Brussels for a safe landing about 3 hours after departure.

A replacement Boeing 767-300 registration OO-JAP departed 75 minutes after landing and reached Zanzibar with a delay of 5 hours.

The airline confirmed one of the flaps did not retract.
