The airline reported the aircraft landed safely in Grand Junction to address an odour in the cabin. The passengers disembarked normally at the gate, a replacement aircraft was dispatched.
Passengers reported their screens began to flicker and then went dark, the smell of electrical burning developed, a distinct smell of an electrical fire occurred. The aircraft stopped on the runway, fire fighters inspected the aircraft from the outside and boarded the aircraft for inside checks.
A replacement Boeing 737-900 registration N37437 reached Las Vegas with a delay of about 6 hours.
The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Grand Junction about 16 hours after landing.
