A KLM Boeing 777-300, registration PH-BVP performing flight KL-843 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Bangkok (Thailand), was accelerating for takeoff from Amsterdam's runway 18L when the crew rejected takeoff at low speed. Tower informed the crew he had heard two dull bangs in quick succession. The crew confirmed they had heard too, but had no indications as of current, subsequently advising they had information the right hand engine (GE90) has had some "seizure", they needed to return to the gate. They had shut the right hand engine down and were taxiing single engine. The aircraft returned to the apron.

A replacement Boeing 777-300 registration PH-BVN reached Bangkok with a delay of about 3.5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Amsterdam about 28 hours after the rejected takeoff.
