A Norwegian Air Sweden Boeing 737-800, registration SE-RRO performing flight D8-4903 from London Gatwick,EN (UK) to Gothenburg (Sweden), was climbing through FL240 out of London Gatwick when the crew descended the aircraft to FL200 and entered a hold due to an engine (CFM56) problem. The aircraft subsequently diverted to London Stansted for a safe landing on runway 22 about one hour after departure.

The airline reported the aircraft performed a safety landing at Stansted Airport following a technical issue in one of the engines. All passengers have disembarked at Stansted, the airline is reaching out to the passengers with information how to continue their journeys.

The aircraft is still on the ground about 3.5 hours after landing.
