A PIA Pakistan International Airlines Boeing 747-300, registration AP-BFU performing flight PK-3338 from Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) to Lahore (Pakistan) with 503 people on board, diverted to Karachi due to vibrations in engine #3 (RB211, inboard right) for a safe landing.

A replacement Boeing 747-300 registration AP-BFY reached Lahore with a delay of 2.5 hours.

Engine #3 is being changed due to metal chips found in the detector.
