An Air India Boeing 787-8, registration VT-ANN performing flight AI-111 from Delhi (India) to London Heathtrow,EN (UK), was on approach to Heathrow's runway 27L when a windshield cracked. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on the runway.

Passengers waiting for the return flight were told, the aircraft was unable to depart for the return flight due to a bird strike.

The aircraft is still on the ground in London about 28 hours after landing.
