An American Airlines Boeing 777-200, registration N799AN performing flight AA-996 from Buenos Aires,BA (Argentina) to Dallas Ft. Worth,TX (USA), was in the initial climb out of Ezeiza's runway 29 when the crew stopped the climb at FL070 due to the loss of all fluid and pressure from the center hydraulic system. The aircraft entered a hold at FL060 for about one hour and returned to Buenos Aires for a safe landing on runway 35 about 80 minutes after departure.

Argentina's JIAAC is looking into the occurrence.
