A Gol Transportes Aereos Boeing 737-800, registration PR-GXN performing flight G3-1629 from Salvador,BA to Sao Paulo Congonhas,SP (Brazil), was on final approach to Congonhas's runway 17R.
When the ERJ finally commenced takeoff, separation between the aircraft had already become too tight, tower instructed the Embraer to cancel takeoff and the Boeing to go around. The Boeing initiated the go around, the Embraer however continued takeoff, tower issued another instruction to stop without reply from the crew, tower instructed the Boeing to turn right. The ERJ became airborne and climbed straight ahead, the Boeing began a right hand turn. The Boeing crew reported receiving a TCAS resolution advisory, tower explained that the departing aircraft had taken too long to depart and had already left the frequency before having departed.
According to ADS-B data transmitted by both aircraft the separation between the aircraft reduced to 400 feet vertical and 0.27nm horizontal at 14:33:57 UTC, 200 feet vertical and 0.18nm horizontal already on diverging flight trajectories at 14:34:06 UTC and 200 feet vertical and 0.14nm horizontal at 14:34:12 UTC.
