An Air Nelson de Havilland Dash 8-300 on behalf of Air New Zealand, registration ZK-NEA performing flight NZ-8138 from Tauranga to Auckland (New Zealand), was on approach to Auckland when the crew did not receive indication that the landing gear was down and locked. The aircraft went around, the crew worked the related checklists and were able to verify that the landing gear was down and locked. The aircraft landed safely.

The airline reported the crew received indication of a possible issue with the landing gear on approach to Auckland, the crew was able to ascertain that the landing gear was down and locked and landed the aircraft without further indident.
