A Malaysia Airbus A380-800, registration 9M-MND performing flight MH-1 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), was enroute at FL330 about 5nm south of Brussels (Belgium) when the crew decided to turn back to London due to the lavatories becoming inoperative due to lack of water. The aircraft dumped fuel and landed safely back in London about 75 minutes later.

The aircraft departed again the following day and is estimated to reach Kuala Lumpur with a delay of 20 hours.

The airline reported the aircraft returned due to a problem with the water supply. Due to night curfew and flight duty constraints the flight needed to be postponed to the next day. The passengers were taken to hotels and assistance was provided to rebook flights where needed.
