A Cebu Pacific Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration RP-C3237 performing flight 5J-629 from Manila to Dumaguete (Philippines), departed Manila's runway 13 and landed on Dumaguete's runway 09 for what appeared to be an uneventful flight.

The French BEA reported based on preliminary information by Philippine's AIB however, that a subsequent pilot inspection found branches and leaves embedded in the right hand main gear, the right main gear was leaking hydraulic fluid. The occurrence was rated a serious incident and is being investigated by Philippines's AIB.
