A Pinnacle Canadair CRJ-200 on behalf of Delta Airlines, registration N8588D performing flight 9E-4217/DL-4217 from Greenville,SC to Atlanta,GA (USA) with 50 people on board, was climbing out of Greenville Spartanburg's runway 22 when the crew requested to level off at 5000 feet due to the right hand main gear indicating neither up nor down. The crew subsequently reported that upon extending the gear they got three greens and landed safely on runway 22 about 20 minutes after departure.

A replacement Canadair CRJ-200 reached Atlanta with a delay of 4.5 hours.
