Mumbai's runway 09/27 was closed for about 30 minutes as result of the occurrence.
The airline reported that a post incident inspection found nothing wrong with the aircraft, no evidence of any smoke from the landing gear. It is being suspected, that due to ongoing work in progress on Mumbai's runways and taxiways dust from those works may have created the impression of smoke from the landing gear. The aircraft was returned to service.
The occurrence aircraft however is still on the ground in Mumbai 19 hours after landing.
