An Air Canada Airbus A320-200, registration C-FDST performing flight AC-695 from St. John's,NL to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 108 people on board, was descending through FL200 towards Toronto when the crew received an ECAM message "ELEC GEN 1 FAULT". Working the related checklists the crew attempted to reset the generator without success, an attempt to start the APU failed as well. As only one electrical source remained the crew declared PAN and continued for a safe landing about 15 minutes later.

The Canadian TSB reported the #1 generator control unit was replaced and the APU circuit breaker was reset, no further fault was found.
