A Virgin America Airbus A320-200, registration N631VA performing flight VX-193 from Newark,NJ to San Francisco,CA (USA) with 129 people on board, was enroute at FL360 about 20nm south of Denver,CO (USA) when the crew reported smoke in the cockpit and diverted to Denver. The aircraft landed safely on Denver's runway 35L about 20 minutes later and stopped on the runway. The crew requested emergency services to check for unusual heat signatures, they had some equipment burn out. Emergency services reported seeing no unusual heat signatures, nothing was leaking. The crew thus decided to taxi to the gate with the emergency services in trail.

The aircraft remained on the ground for 3:40 hours then continued to San Francisco reaching the destination with a delay of 3:40 hours.
