An ANA Wings de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration JA461A performing flight NH-331 from Nagoya to Kumamoto (Japan) with 66 people on board, was climbing out of Nagoya when the cabin did not properly pressurize prompting the crew to stop the climb at about 8000 feet MSL and return to Nagoya for a safe landing about 30 minutes after departure.

The rotation was cancelled.

Japan's Ministry of Transport reported the cabin pressure became lower than normal, the cabin altitude rose to above 6000 feet, the cause of the failure of the cabin pressure control is under investigation.
