A United Boeing 757-200, registration N14120 performing flight UA-55 from Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) to Newark,NJ (USA), was enroute at FL360 about 470nm west of Paris and 400nm westsouthwest of London Heathrow,EN (UK) when the crew decided to divert to London. The aircraft maintained FL360 on the way to London until reaching the top of descent and landed safely in London about 80 minutes after turning around.

A passenger reported the captain announced a problem with one of the door seals. The passengers were kept on board for about one hour before they were sent to hotels.
