A SBA Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration YV288T performing flight S3-1520 from Miami,FL (USA) to Caracas (Venezuela) with 72 people on board, was climbing out of Miami's runway 12 when the crew reported a left hand engine (RB211) fire indication, levelled off at 4000 feet and decided to return to Miami. The crew advised on final approach that the fire indication had extinguished. The aircraft landed safely on runway 27 about 10 minutes after departure, the crew advised no further assistance was needed and taxied to the apron.

The flight was cancelled.
