A Republic Airlines de Havilland Dash 8-400 on behalf of United, registration N213WQ performing flight YX-4912/UA-4912 from Denver,CO to Kansas City,MO (USA) with 67 passengers and 4 crew, was climbing out of Denver when the crew requested to level off at 10,000 feet reporting they were working on a couple of issues. The crew subsequently decided to divert to Garden City,KS reporting they had an inoperative weight on wheel sensor and they had indication of the "deflush door" (editorial note: there is a "flush door" mentioned in the AOM associated with the fuel system) being open. The crew ultimately decided to divert to Wichita,KS where the aircraft landed safely about 2:10 hours after departure.

The remainder of the flight was cancelled, the passengers were taken to hotels over night and subsequently bussed to Kansas City.
