A PIA Pakistan International Airlines Avions de Transport Regional ATR-42-500, registration AP-BHP performing flight PK-501 from Karachi to Turbat (Pakistan), struck a bird on approach to Turbat and continued for a safe landing.

The aircraft hwoever was unable to perform the onward leg to Sharjah (United Arab Emirates), the flight was cancelled.

Pakistan's Civil Aviation Authority reported the airline took all passengers bound for Sharjah to Karachi and rebooked them onto other flights to Sharjah.

The occurrence aircraft was able to position back to Karachi in the evening about 10 hours after landing and resumed service the following morning.
