An Aer Lingus Airbus A330-200, registration EI-LAX performing flight EI-125 from Dublin (Ireland) to Chicago O'Hare,IL (USA), was on final approach to O'Hare's runway 28C when the crew advised they may not have nose wheel steering after landing. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 28, during roll out advised they were unable to vacate the runway. The next aircraft on final approach was instructed to go around. The A330 stopped on the runway, the crew told emergency services that just the nose wheel steering had failed, everything else was okay. The aircraft was towed to the apron.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Chicago about 18 hours after landing. The return flight EI-124 was cancelled.
