An American Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration N604AA performing flight AA-2293 from San Francisco,CA to Dallas Ft. Worth,TX (USA), was enroute at FL330 about 160nm eastnortheast of San Francisco, when the crew decided to return to San Francisco after a number of cabin panels at the side walls and ceiling cracked and separated. The aircraft landed safely back in San Francisco about one hour after departure.

The FAA, correcting earlier reports of a loss of cabin pressure, said that the aircraft won't fly again until the problem has been identified.

The flight was cancelled, the passengers were rebooked onto other flights.
