A Transavia Boeing 737-800, registration PH-HZN performing flight HV-5765 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Girona,SP (Spain), was on approach to Girona's runway 20 when the aircraft flew through a flock of sea gulls, a number of birds impacted nose and right hand wing of the aircraft. The crew continued the approach for a safe landing on runway 20. There were no injuries.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Girona for repairs for 10 days.

A borescopic inspection of both engines revealed the right hand engine ingested a number of birds, the left hand engine remained clean.
