A Mocambique Expresso de Havilland Dash 8-400 on behalf of LAM Linhas Aereas de Mocambique, registration C9-AUY performing flight TM-311 from Beira (Mozambique) to Johannesburg (South Africa), contacted the runway surface with its tail while landing on Johannesburg's runway 03R at about 10:24L (08:24Z) and rolled out without further incident.

The runway was closed for about one hour as result.

The incident aircraft was unable to perform its scheduled return flight. The aircraft is still being examined for possible structural damage.
