An American Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-82, registration N496AA performing flight AA-1106 from Dallas Ft. Worth,TX to Baltimore,MD (USA) with 147 people on board, was enroute at FL330 about 120nm southwest of Little Rock,AR (USA) when the crew reported water leaking into the cockpit. The aircraft diverted to Little Rock for a safe landing about 25 minutes after leaving FL330.

Passengers reported that a water pipe had burst and water was virtually everywhere in the aircraft, several passengers had their shower in the aircraft already and were soaked.

The airline confirmed a burst water pipe causing the disruption of the flight.

A replacement MD-82 reached Baltimore with a delay of 3 hours.
