An American Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N844NN performing flight AA-1541 from Phoenix,AZ to Las Vegas,NV (USA) with 135 people on board, was on approach to Las Vegas' runway 26L when the crew went around and positioned for another approach. The crew declared PAN PAN reporting they would need to stop on the runway. They would need to be towed off the runway. The aircraft landed safely on runway 26L and stopped on the runway, they had lost A and B hydraulic systems. Emergency services reported there was a massive hydraulic leak from the right hand (B) engine (CFM56), the crew responded they had lost both A and B hydraulic systems.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 16 hours before returning to service.
