A Gulf Air Airbus A320-200, registration A9C-AF performing flight GF-222 from Kuwait (Kuwait) to Bahrain (Bahrain), was in the initial climb out of Kuwait's runway 15L when a bird impacted the right hand windshield causing it to crack. The crew stopped the climb at 3000 feet and returned to Kuwait for a safe landing on runway 15L about 15 minutes after departure.

A replacement Airbus A320-200 registration A9C-AP reached Bahrain with a delay of 6:40 hours.
