A Canadian North Boeing 737-400, registration C-FFNE performing flight 5T-150 from Winnipeg,MB to Rankin Inlet,NU (Canada) with 55 people on board, departed Winnipeg's runway 13 when during rotation multiple bird strikes to both engines (CFM56) and nose area occurred, the right hand engine began to vibrate. The crew declared emergency and returned to Winnipeg for a safe landing on runway 13 about 20 minutes after departure.

The Canadian TSB reported the damaged right hand engine as well as the associated upper pylon panel were replaced.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Winnipeg until May 31st 2026, then positioned to Ottawa,ON (Canada) and is still on the ground in Ottawa on Jun 2nd 2026.
