A Pacific Coastal Airlines Beech 1900C, registration C-FPCO performing flight 8P-615 from Vancouver,BC to Cranbook,BC (Canada) with 10 people on board, was in the initial climb out of Vancouver when smoke appeared in the cockpit. The crew returned the aircraft to Vancouver for a safe landing on runway 12.

The Canadian TSB reported that an audio amplifier had failed.
