An American Airlines Boeing 777-200, registration N761AJ performing flight AA-154 form Dallas Ft. Worth,TX (USA) to London Heathrow,EN (UK), was enroute at FL370 about 180nm northeast of Memphis,TN (USA) when the crew decided to turn around and divert to Memphis reporting smoke in the forward cabin. The aircraft landed safely on Memphis' runway 36C about 40 minutes later.

A replacement Boeing 777-200 registration N760AN reached London with a delay of about 24 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Memphis on Apr 12th 2025.
