An Envoy Embraer ERJ-175 on behalf of American Airlines, registration N282NN performing flight AA-4174 from Little Rock,AR to Dallas Ft. Worth,TX (USA), was on approach to Dallas when the crew declared emergency. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 36L and stopped on the runway, the crew reported they had no nose wheel steering. About two minutes later the crew advised they were now having nose gear steering and taxied to the apron.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 24 hours before returning to service.
