An Air China Airbus A330-300, registration B-5916 performing flight CA-1524 from Shanghai Hongqiao to Beijing (China) with 240 people on board, was enroute when the aircraft encountered clear air turbulence causing minor injuries to a flight attendant and a passenger. The aircraft continued to Beijing for a safe landing about 110 minutes after departure.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Beijing for about 15 hours before returning to service.
