A Fedex Federal Express McDonnell Douglas MD-11 freighter, registration N584FE performing flight FX-247 from Toronto,ON (Canada) to Memphis,TN (USA) with 2 crew, was climbing out of Toronto's runway 06L when the crew stopped the climb at about 3000 feet reporting the left hand thrust reverser (engine CF6, #1) had deployed in flight. The aircraft landed on Toronto's runway 05 about 20 minutes after departure and vacated the runway, emergency services inspected the aircraft before it taxied to the apron.

A replacement MD-11 registration N602FE took the cargo to Memphis with a delay of about 4 hours.

The aircraft returned to service on Jun 26th 2023.
