An American Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration N106NN performing flight AA-1632 from Los Angeles,CA to Boston,MA (USA), was climbing out of Los Angeles when the crew stopped the climb at FL270, after about 8 minutes the crew decided to return to Los Angeles reporting a hydraulic failure. The aircraft climbed to FL290 for the return and landed safely back on Los Angeles' runway 25R about one hour after departure.

A replacement Airbus A321-200 registration N109NN reached Boston with a delay of about 7.5 hours.
