A Republic Airlines de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration N507LX performing flight YX-4914 from Kansas City,MO to Denver,CO (USA), was climbing through about 12,000 feet when the crew reported an aircraft panel was missing from the engine nacelle and requested to return to Kansas City. The aircraft stopped the climb at 13,000 feet, burned off fuel and landed safely back in Kansas City about 70 minutes after departure.

The FAA reported the aircraft dropped an access panel onto the runway during departure.
