An Olympic Air Avions de Transport Regional ATR-42-600, registration SX-OAY performing flight OA-24 from Athens to Milos (Greece) with 20 passengers, landed on Milos' runway 08 at about 15:30L (13:30Z) but veered left off the runway and came to a stop with all gear on soft rough ground. There were no injuries, the aircraft sustained minor if any damage.

The airline reported the aircraft had slowed down and was taxiing to parking when strong lateral gusts caused the aircraft to deviate off the runway for a few meters. All 20 passengers disembarked safely.

On Jan 27th 2022 Greece's AAIASB reported the aircraft veered to the left after landing on Milos' runway 08 and came to a stop on soft ground about 10 meters left of the runway edge.

No Metars are available, the local weather station reported:
at 14:00L: Temperature +8 degrees C, dew point +2 degrees C, 1000 QNH, winds from northnorstwest at 12 knots
at 17:00L: Temperature +8 degrees C, dew point +3 degrees C, 1000 QNH, winds from north at 10 knots.
